How you will contribute:
Your key tasks will entail significantly increasing revenues for our clients throughout the UK and Europe. As part of the sales team, you will work closely with the Global Head of Sales & Business Development to develop and convert new relationships into valuable accounts, while consistently driving sales activities to meet and exceed enterprising sales targets.
Your key responsibilities will also include coordinating pipeline and sales forecasting activities, collaborating with sales management to create and execute account plans for target market sectors. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing specific initiatives to secure new business at each account. This will involve identifying, contacting, and qualifying new prospects within the territory, as well as engaging in cold calling and following up on marketing heads.
Your expertise in handling queries from prospects and clients will be crucial, as you will be responsible for developing and executing responses, which may range from informal requests to more formal RFI/RFP documents. Additionally, you will take the principal in organizing one-to-one client meetings with brokers, investment banks, and hedge fund clients, conducting demonstrations and presentations of selected product offerings to showcase our capabilities effectively.
Throughout the sales process, you will be managing opportunities from initial contact to closure, skillfully prioritizing tasks to maximize revenue potential. Your meticulous approach will include maintaining detailed records of the sales pipeline for potential and existing clients within the territory, utilizing our internal CRM system for efficient tracking and reporting.
As a skilled negotiator, you will be instrumental in closing new business contracts, ensuring favorable outcomes for both our clients and our organization. Your insights and contributions will also extend to the generation of marketing materials and the planning of marketing activities, ensuring we remain at the forefront of our industry.
To excel in this role, staying ahead of market developments within the territory and closely monitoring contender activity will be essential. This knowledge will empower you to make strategic moves and maintain a competitive edge, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of our company.
What we would (ideally) like to see:
- Demonstrated experience in selling financial software solutions to banks, brokers, and other sell-side firms
- Profound understanding of the financial services and banking vertical market with an understanding of back-office processing
- Familiarity with Securities and Derivatives post-trade processing
- A proven self-starter with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex concepts with ease
- Experience in engaging with consultancies and technology partners within the industry's ecosystem
- Proficient in presenting and selling technology products in a business context
- A track record of successfully negotiating and closing enterprise-level software license agreements
- Adept at providing timely, realistic, and conservative sales forecasting
- A driven, entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with a "make it happen" attitude, anchored in intellect, integrity, and creativity
- A relentless desire to learn and grow, staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Self-motivation and the ability to work harmoniously with immediate teams and other technical pre-sales and client support departments
- Strong work ethic and motivation, equipped with a rational mindset and exceptional inquisitive abilities, adept at excelling in a dynamic, customer-centric work environment
- Proven aptitude for self-sufficient work and taking the initiative with minimal supervision
- Excellent organisational skills, effective time management, and the ability to delegate tasks when necessary
