Job Description:
Torstone is seeking an experienced senior sales executive to support the continued growth of the business in London. You will be responsible for increasing revenues for our clients across UK and Europe. You will be expected to develop new relationships and convert them into new accounts working closely with the rest of the sales team, and the Global Head of Sales.
The main functions of the role include:
- Driving sales activities to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Coordinating pipeline and sales forecasting activities.
- Work with sales management to develop and execute account plans for target market sectors
- Identify and undertake specific initiatives to win new business at each account
- Identify, contact and qualify new prospects within the territory
- Cold calling and following up marketing leads
- Develop and execute responses to queries from prospects and clients which may take the form of informal requests or more formal RFI/RFP documents
- Co-ordinate one-to-one client meetings with brokers, investment banks and hedge fund clients
- Facilitating demonstrations and/or presentations of selected product offerings
- Manage sales opportunities from first call through to closure
- Prioritising appropriately to maximise revenue
- Maintaining details of the sales pipeline for all potential and existing clients within the territory using the internal CRM system
- Negotiating and closing new business contracts
- Provide input to the generation of marketing materials and planning of marketing activities
- Stay on top of all the market developments within the territory and competitor activity
Skills and Aptitude:
- Dynamic, high energy end-user sales professional with successful financial software sales experience into banks, brokers, and other sell-side firms.
- Experienced in selling into the financial services and banking vertical market with an understanding of Back Office processing.
- Knowledge of Securities and Derivatives post-trade processing
- A capable, articulate, personable and energetic self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly self-motivated: ability to generate ideas and demonstrate initiative, tenacity and perseverance.
- Team player with ability to work successfully within immediate team and the broader technical pre-sales and client support environment
- Driven, “make it happen”, entrepreneurial and team-oriented approach, built upon intellect, integrity, and creativity
- Ability to work the eco-system in an account, typically with consultancies and technology partners
- Ability to present and sell technology products in a business context
- Proven ability to negotiate and close enterprise level software license agreements.
- Timely, realistically conservative, and predictable sales forecasting.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to be independent and work on own initiative.
