Job Description:
This is a unique role to join an extremely technical and innovative global IT infrastructure team as the company continues to expand globally. The Torstone Infrastructure Group provides the technology platform for the firm and is looking to grow the operations and service desk team.
The group is responsible for an extremely diverse range of technologies including our global AWS cloud delivery environment and we are looking for generalists with at least 2+ years of experience in at least 3 of the key areas discussed below. You will need to be flexible and a quick learner to grasp, adopt, implement and support modern Infrastructure technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Direct external service provider management i.e. coordinating services like VPN, leased lines and other connectivity options alongside data centre management.
- Direct external client/customer interactions i.e. discuss technologies with clients and manage maintenance.
- Contribute to the global management of the infrastructure of a 300+ (mostly LINUX) server estate with a network covering 10+ sites in DCs & AWS.
- Manage infrastructure (Helpdesk & Operations) data centre rack management, service requests and incidents, ensuring they are logged, investigated, resolved and/or tracked to completion.
- Monitoring infrastructure and all IT systems
- Out of hours work when required, including weekend cover and able to work in variable shifts as required by the business.
Skills and Aptitude:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a technical infrastructure role.
- Manage network infrastructure including leased lines, VPNs and data centre management.
- Monitoring all infrastructure through emails, monitoring tools and alerts
- Linux systems administration knowledge or exposure
- Cloud Infrastructure exposure, preferably AWS
- Detailed knowledge of operating system and network fundamentals, the successful candidate should know technical elements such as Linux OS, DNS, Routing & Switching, TCP/IP and IPsec VPN.
- Python or Bash Shell scripting.

- Bi-lingual (Japanese & English)
- Ability to talk with people of all levels and discuss technical details with technical and non-technical parties.
- Self-motivated with a desire to work closely with highly technical colleagues on all levels (from user support to managing production infrastructure).
